Rules of Use
Updated reflecting changes due to Covid-19 Pandemic
Passes are available to adult Valley Cottage and Nyack Library patrons (18 years+) in good standing. A current Valley Cottage or Nyack Library card is required.
Families and individuals may borrow one pass at a time.
During the Covid-19 pandemic the loan period will be extended to seven (7) days to allow an opportunity for patrons to make reservations as necessary at institutions. Passes may not be renewed.
Call the Valley Cottage Library to find out if a pass is available. Staff will make you an appointment for curbside pickup to retrieve the pass. If needed, staff can give necessary membership information over the phone so that the patron can make a reservation at the institution prior to curbside appointment.
Passes must be returned to the Valley Cottage Library. They may not be returned to the Nyack Library. Return the pass in the book drop, properly sealed in the plastic envelope.
A late fee of $10 per day, up to the cost of the pass, will be imposed for every day the pass is late. Museum passes will be checked out by staff to a ‘Quarantine’ status when returned so that the pass will not accumulate fines during the quarantine period.
Replacement fee for lost passes is determined by museum policy on replacement.
Failure to abide by these regulations may result in forfeiture of borrowing privileges for museum passes.
Regulations may be revised at any time.
