Summer Reading Club has ended.
Thanks to all who participated!
Club members read over 1,500 books this Summer!
We count reading by days to encourage building daily reading habits.
Daily reading habits help children retain information they have learned.
The Club is open to all children from infants to children entering 5th grade.
Daily reading recording started JUNE 21 and ended Aug. 21.
Register and print Reading Logs by clicking links above.
Read books at home and keep track of your reading on your Reading Log. Check off days you do some reading on the calendar at left, and write book titles on the lines to the right.
Younger non-readers can record books read to them, or Early Literacy Activities that they do with an adult. Early Literacy Activities include reading, writing, playing, singing, and talking.
Children will earn one book buck for each day they read or do an Early Literacy Activity.
Everyone will show their reading/activity logs to the library to win prizes.
Please direct any questions to the Children’s Room staff at VCLKIDS@RCLS.ORG.
