Summer Reading Club ended on AUGUST 8, 2020.
Registrants should watch your email for instruction on how to submit your reading logs and collect your prizes.
We count reading by days to encourage building daily reading habits.
Daily reading habits help children retain information they have learned.
The Club is open to all children from infants to children entering 5th grade.
Daily reading recording starts JUNE 15.
Read books at home & keep track of your reading on your Reading Log. Check off days you do some reading on the calendar at left, and write book titles on the lines to the right.
Younger non-readers can record books read to them, or Early Literacy Activities that they do with an adult. Early Literacy Activities include reading, writing, playing, singing, and talking.
Register and print Reading Logs by clicking links above.
Children will earn one book buck for each day they read or do an Early Literacy Activity.
Everyone will show their reading/activity logs to the library to win prizes, virtually or in person if permitted. While the library is closed to the public, please take a picture of your log and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then email instructions for getting prizes.
Please direct any questions to the Children’s Room staff at VCLKIDS@RCLS.ORG.
