Summer Reading is Here!
June 30th - August 9th
Read books and win prizes!
Beginning June 30th, you may begin submitting mini book reviews to earn raffle tickets. Book reviews can be submitted online or by paper form at either Valley Cottage or Nyack Library. NSD students can earn extra credit for next year by registering and submitting at least one review.

news!
The Teen Corner is getting an upgrade!
Please excuse our appearance while we undergo construction to make improvements. The space will be enclosed and expanded with additional shelving space, as well as new technology and furniture. A selection of teen materials will be available in the Glass Room during the renovation. ​

Have you been reading this book over the summer like everyone else? Come chat about what you’ve read so far and see what other people think!

Teen Room Time Capsule!
Would you like to leave something for the future teens of Valley Cottage Library? Our brand-new teen room has a hidden door for a time capsule!
We are taking suggestions for what to include. Submit your ideas today!

Friday, August 15th at 2pm
Come meet with other teens in the brand-new Teen Room to pitch your ideas, discuss the suggestions, and vote on what should be included. Snacks provided.

Summer Book Bingo

Download a copy here or pick one up at the library. Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line and you will be entered to win a $25 Amazon Gift Card! List all titles/authors on the back of the form. Drop off completed form at the library or email to khohlfeld@rcls.org.
Chess club
Join the Chess Club, open to beginner, intermediate and expert abilities! Chess will be taught by a rated player and coach who is a parent in our community, in a program that can develop and sharpen the cognitive, academic, emotional and social skills of children.

Tuesdays,
July 8th-August 12th
6:30-7:30pm
This program is for ages 5-17. Children aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult observer.
