Happy Friday...

Special Guest Post by Teen Volunteer, Sheila

This novel is about Claudia, a teenage girl trying to figure out why her best friend Monday suddenly disappeared without anyone noticing . Claudia uncovers painful truths about friendship, family, and neglect while she searches for answers. The story switches between different timelines, slowly revealing what happened to Monday. The book explores serious topics like trauma, education inequality, and the importance of being seen and heard. The changing timelines create suspense and slowly help readers understand the full story behind Monday’s disappearance. The shifting timelines make the story feel intense because readers slowly piece together clues alongside Claudia. The novel also highlights how some children and communities are often ignored, making the message behind the story very powerful and emotional. The author does an amazing job showing how deeply friendship can impact someone's life and how painful it can feel when someone important suddenly disappears. You can truly feel every emotion with Claudia as she continues to search for answers.

I think this book is incredibly impactful because it highlights issues that are often ignored. The mystery keeps readers interested, but the emotional message behind the story is what made it stand out. The plot twists were shocking, and the ending stayed with me long after finishing the book. I would recommend this novel to teens who enjoy emotional mysteries with important social themes. I also appreciated how realistic the friendship between Claudia and Monday felt because it showed how deeply friendships can affect people’s lives. The friendship between Claudia and Monday felt so incredibly genuine, which made the emotional moments even more heartbreaking. The story is emotional and heartbreaking at times, but it encourages readers to pay more attention to the struggles others may be facing. I would recommend this book to teens who enjoy emotional mysteries that also address important real world issues.
